Between Sioux Falls & Spearfish and points near and between —No Kings! Attend your local rally Saturday, March 28
What’s being called the largest public demonstration in American history will occur on Saturday, March 28.
Never has a public protest been more timely or more needed, including here in South Dakota. Sen. John Thune, who presides as majority leader in the U.S. Senate, has done little to nothing to rein in the excesses. It’s part of the No Kings movement, and that, too, is hugely relevant.
We have entered into a war that, for the first time, does not have the majority supporting it. One man has chosen this route for us all. One man has caused this disaster, spending billions that might have been used here at home, costing the lives of American soldiers as well as life-long disabilities for many of them. He’s not asked for the approval of Congress or allies, and he’s caused economic hurt for the entire world.
It’s a hurt that’s already affecting our own farmers and everyone who drives a gasoline-powered vehicle — which is still most people on the planet.
The worst of it is that he does not appear to know what he’s doing. There is no endgame, and he has yet to articulate any useful reasons for beginning this travesty. All of us are happy with the ending of Iran’s then-leadership, but the Iranian system has not been ended, so he’s only ensured probable future terrorism upon ourselves and others into the foreseeable future.
Mark your calendar and be sure to take part as we march across America. We must ensure that we defend our election systems so they cannot be overcome by this despot. We must turn out in the largest numbers ever for a midterm that will defeat those who are enabling this rogue, wannabe king.
