Greetings.

Welcome to the launch of The South Dakota Standard! Tom Lawrence and I will bring you thoughts and ideas concerning issues pertinent to the health and well-being of our political culture. Feel free to let us know what you are thinking.

In this era of political and market uncertainties, you can support the Standard's outspokenly independent voice

In this era of political and market uncertainties, you can support the Standard's outspokenly independent voice

Regular readers of The Standard know that since before the last election we’ve been alert to the political and economic uncertainties created in this new era of expanded Presidential influence. White House claims to authority are challenging our country’s historical, legal, and constitutional precedents.

As we’ve made clear in many posts, South Dakota is directly affected by all this. Tom and I are as outspoken about it as ever. We are frequently joined by numerous voices from around our community that have much to say about the political reality that has emerged – and we’re delighted that The Standard has become a place for them to say it.

We want to keep it up.

You can help us do that by supporting The Standard financially, either on a one-time or regular basis, with a contribution that can be quickly and easily made by clicking on the PayPal button on your right.

By doing so, you’ll be supporting independent, community-wide commentary that is free from commercial and political oversight. With your help we can keep it going.

Tom Lawrence and I appreciate the support.  John Tsitrian

The South Dakota Standard is offered freely and is supported by our readers. We have no political or commercial sponsorship. If you'd like to help us continue our mission to advance independent political and social commentary, you can do so by clicking on the "Donate" button that's on the sidebar to your right.
