Knobe: I dream of Trump's "Big, Beautiful Change"

I have a dream that someday……

Donald Trimp will walk into the Whitehouse briefing room, hold the lectern with both hands, pause, looking at the very surprised media folks and firmly say:

“I am removing all bans on media outlets and individual reporters. Further, I be in this room once a month to directly answer your questions.”

Jaws drop.

“I am ending all tariffs. They have not​ produced the results I expected.”​

Pens are screaming across note pads.

“I am going to Congress to seek changes in the “Big Beautiful Bill” which apparently is not so beautiful. I will be asking that cuts in Medicaid and any other health programs be removed. I will further recommend changes in the tax code not to punish the rich but to provide more funds to help those in need. The poor, disabled, veterans, those with mental health and addiction issues.”

Audible gasps.

“In the future I will go to Congress for permission to use our military to enter foreign countries.”

More gasps. Luder this time.

“Two more things: f I am stooping all efforts to sell off or lease off federal lands, your lands.”

“I am halting work on the Triumph monument. Asking those responsible in the federal government and the government of Washington D.C. to review the plans to ensure it fits appropriately into the grandeur of this wonderful city.”

“Goodbye and Godspeed.”

He exits the room.

Prolonged sunned silence.

Then a mad scramble to send out the word of Trump’s “Big Beautiful Change.”

Great dream isn’t it?
